View activity log

To view activity log associated with a task history item:

1.

Select an item from Task History pane. 

2.

Click View Activity Log  from XPlica main screen.

Or Select View Activity Log from Tools menu

The Activity Log Viewer dialog appears as shown below.

The activity log of a task is classified into four different categories (seen under separate tabs):

a. Task Statistics: Summarizes the migration task summary statistics and detailed statistics for each SharePoint list.
b. Task Results: Summarizes the results to verify if the Content Types and Columns exactly match in the source and destination locations.
c. Migration Errors: Summarizes the errors that occurred during migration.
d. Items Ignored: Summarizes the list items ignored during migration based on certain conditions.
e. Items Overwritten: Summarizes the list items overwritten during migration based on user settings.
f. All Results: Summarizes the detailed results of the migration task
g. Migration Settings: Summarizes the source and destination List Settings at the time of migration.
h. Task settings: Summarizes the task settings at the time of migration
i. Resolution Tips: Summarizes the commonly encountered error messages and the ways to address them.

Click Save Results button to save the task results in Microsoft Excel format. Each tab in ActivityLogViewer dialog is stored as a separate worksheet in MS-Excel.

Click Open Log Folder button to open the folder that contains the activity log of the currently displayed task history item.

Note: For all errors, refer Migration Errors section of Activity Log to view a description of the actual error that occurred during migration.
