Create new XPlica Quick Migration task

You can create a task to migrate Site collections, webs, lists, folders from one SharePoint environment to  another SharePoint environment. XPlica facilitates the migration of above mentioned SharePoint objects using the following migration methods:

Note: XPlica Quick Migration task is restricted to migrate contents between same SharePoint versions
                  a. SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2007
                  b. SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint 2010
                  c. SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint 2013
                  d. SharePoint 2016 to SharePoint 2016 

  • Site Collections: This task type allows you to create a task to migrate site collections from one SharePoint location to another SharePoint location as specified in the batch descriptor file.  In order to migrate site collections, we request you to create an empty site collection (not blank site, empty site collection differs from blank site) in the destination SharePoint environments.

  • Webs: This task type allows you to create a task to migrate site or sub-web from one SharePoint location to another SharePoint location as specified in the batch descriptor file. You no need to create an empty site in the destination SharePoint environment like site collections task type.

  • Lists/libraries: This task type allows you to create a task to migrate list/library from one SharePoint site to another SharePoint site specified in the batch descriptor file. You no need to create any destination list/library.

  • Folders: This task type allows you to create a task to migrate folder from one SharePoint location (library/list) to another SharePoint location (library/list) as specified in the batch descriptor file.

Click New Task  from XPlica main screen.

Or Select New Task from Task menu 

Or Press Ctrl + N

Select a task type in New Task dialog and click OK.

3. Click SharePoint Quick Content Migration (Batch File Mode) and select any one options shown below:
  1. Create a task to migrate  Site Collections from one SharePoint environment to another SharePoint environment.

  2. Create a task to migrate  Sites or sub-webs from one SharePoint environment to another SharePoint environment.

  3. Create a task to migrate  Lists/Libraries from one SharePoint environment to another SharePoint environment. 

  4. Create a task to migrate  Folders from one SharePoint environment to another SharePoint environment.
