Batch Descriptor File 

To specify the batch descriptor file to migrate folders, files and list items from one SharePoint list to another SharePoint list:

The Batch descriptor file step appears as shown below:

Click (...) button to specify the batch descriptor file. The reference file can be any one of the following file formats - Comma delimited (CSV), Microsoft Excel (XLS) or Text file (TXT).

The batch descriptor file will automatically be extracted once the file name is specified. If you are using a Microsoft Excel based batch descriptor file, select the sheet name to use from the drop-down.

Temp Storage Location:  Click (...) button to specify the 'Temp Storage Location' which is required by the XPlica Server Agent to export the migration packages (.dat Files). The Folder browser which enumerates the net work shares like below.

 

Note:
The 'Temp storage location' should be a common share for the following components of XPlica:
  • XPlica - Which is running in the client machine.

  • XPlica Server Agent Source- Which is running in the source server.

  • XPlica Server Agent Destination- Which is running in the destination server.

5. Source Server Name:  Name of the source SharePoint server in which the 'XPlica Server Agent' is running. e.g. RD06, VyapinSP2007, etc.,
6. Source Port No:  The port number to communicate the 'XPlica Server Agent' which is running in the source SharePoint server. The port number you are specifying here must be the same as the 'XPlica Quick Migrator Agent' which is currently using this port on the source server.
7. Destination Server Name:  Name of the destination SharePoint server in which the 'XPlica Server Agent' is running. e.g. RD76, VyapinSP2007, etc.,
8. Destination Port No:  The port number to communicate the 'XPlica Server Agent' which is running in the destination SharePoint server. The port number you are specifying here must be the same as the 'XPlica Quick Migrator Agent' which is currently using the port on the destination.
9. Check Connection:  This allow you to check whether  the source and destination 'XPlica Server Agents' are running or not with the specified ports in the specified servers.
10. Calculate Disk Space:  Click this button to calculate the size of the source content and the disk space required in the 'Temp storage location'  to export the migration packages.
