SharePoint Column Options

To selectively update metadata columns from the SharePoint list:

1.

The SharePoint Column Options step appears as shown below:

2.

Select any one of the following metadata settings:

  • Do not migrate columns - No column values will be updated in destination SharePoint list.
  • Migrate all columns - Migrates all column values that are created by the SharePoint user.
  • Migrate selected columns - Migrates columns that are specified in the textbox. Please note that user defined columns alone will be updated to the respective destination.

Note:

  • To migrate Document ID column, mention the column in "Migrate selected columns" option explicitly, since it is auto-generated by SharePoint to maintain unique ID for each document.

  • To retain List Item ID column value as in source, mention the ID column in "Migrate selected columns" option explicitly, since it is auto-generated by SharePoint to maintain unique ID for each list item. This option is applicable only for list items migrated across SharePoint lists (except libraries). For this purpose, XPlica Server Agent has to be available in on-premise target SharePoint server. This option is not applicable for SharePoint Online.
