Copy/Merge Sites


Using this feature the sites from a site collection can be copied to a different site collection.

1. To launch SharePoint Information Organizer, please visit Launch SharePoint Information Organizer
   
2. Click on the Copy/Merge Sites link from the homepage of the SharePoint Information Organizer. On clicking the link, the Copy/Merge sites page will appear as shown below,
 
   
3. In the Source Selection section, the users can select multiple sites to copy from one site collection to another.
 
   
4. On selecting the destination the user can select a existing site collection or a new site collection to copy the selected sites.
 
   
5. The user can also select to create a new Web Application or a new Content database for creating the new Site collection.
   
6. To copy the associated permissions of the sites, lists, list items and also the list views, select the option provided. The default selection for this option will be Yes.
 
   
7. For applying filter conditions at the Web level to filter from the selected sites, specify the conditions in the given fields.
 
   
8. For applying filter conditions at the List level, specify the conditions in the given fields.
 
   
9. For applying filter conditions at the Item level, specify the conditions in the given fields.
 
   
10. Click the Copy/Merge to start the Copy operation.
